Candice and Julian

Candice had been trying for several weeks to do her engagement session, but the weather kept messing with us.  After two rescheduled appointments, we were finally able to find beautiful weather and beautiful light.   The problem with doing engagement sessions, is that it makes me anxious for the wedding to arrive.  Now I have to wait a few months before I get to spend the day with these two and their families.

Candice and Julian drove up from Little Rock on Sunday for an outdoor shoot, that ended up being AWESOME!!! They are so comfortable together and after just a couple of minutes,,, seemed to be comfortable in front of the camera.  Here are a few pics from their session.

Tyrel and Lana… and engagement session.

Last weekend Trisha and I met Tyrel and Lana in Fayetteville for what we’d hoped would be a fairly warm and sunny Sunday morning.  It turned out that we had a cloudy, windy and cold Sunday morning.  I forgot to wear a hat, so my bald head was COLD!!!  The pictures, however, were hot.  We had such a great time with this session and ended up getting some awesome photos.  Here are a few of my favorite selections from their gallery.

Unique Engagement Portraits

Heather and Chris… and Mia

I love to shoot engagement sessions outdoors, but sometimes the heat is just too much and we choose to enjoy the air conditioning. Such is the case with Heather and Chris. It didn’t seem to matter to them though, as they relaxed and had fun with one another, giving us some awesome shots. Mia, Chris’ daughter came along with them and hopped in for a few of the shots.

John & Ashley… e-session at Hendrix College

A few days back I had one of those days that reminded me how lucky I am.  I spent the day with my daughter, Erin, driving to Hendrix College in Conway, AR to shoot an engagement session for John and Ashley.   On the way down we saw a bobcat, many red tailed hawks and a bald eagle…. but most importantly I got to spend quite a bit of time with Erin, talking about everything and about nothing.  It was great.

When we arrived at Hendrix we met up with John and Ashley and shot their engagement photos.  I can’t wait until March when I get to shoot their wedding.  We had a great time strolling around an empty campus where we could pretty much have our pick of locations.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Chris & Kayla

We’ve blogged them alone,,, so now let’s blog them together.  We first shot Chris… and Kayla tagged along.  Then, when we shot Kayla’s session, Chris was there.  Hopefully in a few years we’ll have wedding photos to show you from these two.

Matt & Morgan @ Marlsgate Plantation

Yesterday I drove to Marlsgate Plantation in Scott, AR to meet Morgan and Matt for their engagement session and had an awesome time.  Both Morgan and Matt are so at ease in front of the camera and their interaction with one another translates well to the still frame.  Here are just a few samples I’ve quickly picked out while downloading their photos.

I can’t wait until we are able to do her bridal session and then later the wedding.
