Two of my favorite one year olds made another trip to Mtn. Home for another portrait session. I wrote about them when they were here last time, in May of 2007. Isabella & Savannah
This time they were so much fun to photograph. You can see their different personalities coming out and it was a total blast to watch the two of them interact. However, when we attempted to get the girls to dig into a cake, things went down hill a bit. Neither one of them seemed as if they wanted to play and get messy. So, we ended up with some awesome photos of both girls being very unhappy.
Here are a few of my quick favorites from their session.

I know I’ve said this many times before, but it is simply the truth. Sessions like this are proof that I have the greatest career possible. When I first speak to a perspective client who is reserving their wedding date with us, I know that Trisha and I are gaining new friends that we will be involved with for a long time.

It’s funny how life runs us around in circles,,, always coming back to old friends. My oldest son has just left for Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama this morning, and while packing his clothes we were discussing what the weather would be when he arrived. So I picked up the phone and called Jennifer. ….. and I had to leave a voice mail. Ok, she called back and we did discuss the weather there, but most of all we simply had a great conversation.
I met Jennifer and Kevin (NOT BRIAN) at a small cabin in the middle of the Smokey Mountains in Gatlinburg, TN in September of 2005. I had driven 600 miles the day before and was really just as tired as could be, but when I met these two, I was well rewarded. The first meeting felt as if we’d been long time friends and I really enjoyed my time spent with them there. We ran around that afternoon taking some non-wedding photos of the two of them and I absolutely love this truck. This was the most intimate wedding I’ve had the pleasure to shoot so far,,,, as I was not only the photographer, but also one of the witnesses to sign their wedding license. That was too cool.
Now while talking with Jennifer on the phone I find out the wonderful news that they have a new baby girl… and she’s beautiful. Her name is Arden Grace (I hope I spelled that correctly), and she is simply gorgeous. …. and I can see both Jennifer and Kevin in her little face.
So, here are a few pictures from my time with them and a few photos of Arden that Jennifer emailed me.

This past Saturday I spent a beautiful day shooting for Keith and Vandy and had a wonderful time. One of the great things about my job is the relationship I build with my clients…. and getting to see past clients is always awesome. Well this Saturday I was lucky enough to run into Tera, but Mark was not with her, as he is serving in Iraq right now. I really hope he comes home soon and makes it home safely.
Anyway, I really enjoyed getting to see Tera and thought it would be fitting to repost a few of my favorite shots from my time with Mark and Tera. One is an engagement shot and the others are from their wedding day. In a few months, Mark will hopefully get to come home for a visit and we’ll be doing a portrait session for the two of them. We’ll update the blog with fresh photos of them at that time.

I like BIG pictures and I’m now finding that I need a new one for my studio wall. While looking back through the past year of photographs I found one that I want to put up. So, I’m ordering a 20×30 of this one. This is of Asif and Meghan on Lake Shelbyville, near Decatur, IL. I shot their wedding last September (on my birthday) and absolutely loved spending the day with them. What an amazing couple…. she even braved all the bird poop that was on the dock to get some great photos.
