Richard: Golfer and wearer of Fine Suits.. and Class of 2011

So it may be summer and graduation has come and gone, but that is another story.  This story is about Richard.  We’ve been trying to get Richard in for quite some time for his senior portraits, but his schedule, combined with waiting for just the right conditions on the golf course.  We finally had everything align and we were able to get together and do his session…. and he suited up.  I believe he may have a little Barney Stinson deep inside.

Michelle : Class of 2011

What an amazing girl to work with.  Meet Michelle,,, and I cannot remember the name of her car,,, but it’s one cool car.   So since tonight is graduation,  I decided that I should hurry up and catch up on my  blogging.  Here are just a few of my faves from her shoot.

Congratulations Class of 2011!

I know several schools have already held their graduation ceremonies, but tonight I’ll be attending the MHHS Class of 2011 Graduation Ceremony at Bomber Stadium.  I’m thrilled that several of our clients this year will be crossing the stage, accepting their diploma and from there…. moving on into new directions.  Thank you to each and every one of you who chose to have your senior portraits taken by me.  It means so much to me, as a photographer, to be able to give you photos that you’ll be proud of for the rest of your life.

Congratulations on the culmination of years of studying and good luck to you in the future.

Thank you to each and every one of you.  Your energy keeps me young…. at least young at heart.

Charlie : Class of 2011

As a photographer, I get to see a lot of people who tell me they are “not photogenic”, and Charlie is one of those people. He has practically been a member of our extended family for his entire life, but he still tried to convince me that he didn’t look good in photos. Well, he was wrong. He has a great look and once I got him to stop talking constantly, we got some great photos. Then again, I guess I was talking as much as he was. It all worked out in the end.

Grant : Class of 2011

Grant is truly one of the greatest kids I’ve met. He works continually and has great plans for his future. He impressed me from the first day I met him, which was a few years ago at MHHS in a mentoring group. He’s kind of laid back, but has a quiet confidence that really comes through when you just sit and talk with him. I was thrilled when I was given the opportunity to photograph his senior portraits. Here are a few pics from his shoot.

Austin : Class of 2011

In 2000 I started working at the hospital here in town as a paramedic…. and I met a dispatcher named John. We quickly became best friends and in doing so I had the pleasure of getting to know a little boy named Austin. Well, Austin grew up and has turned into a very photogenic guy. Now this session was really fun for me, since I knew so much about Austin and his family. We laughed…. at times, uncontrollably. Here are a few shots from his badass session.

Shelbie : Class of 2011

A couple of years ago Shelbie’s sister, Staci, came to me for her senior portraits.  Now, a couple weeks back I got to spend a couple hours with Shelbie.  This girl has some serious guitar skills and a smile that just makes me melt.  To be honest, I’m not sure I was able to adequately capture the true personality of her.  She just oozes massive amounts of personality and individuality.  Hopefully I did her some type of justice.  Either way, I think she ended up with some great photos.  Here are a few of my favorites.

Jenna : Class of 2011

It’s time to get caught up with some of Arkansas’ greatest senior portraits! (yeah, I just gave myself that much credit :) )

Jenna had some fantastic ideas for her shoot and man, what a beautiful girl…. I could not miss with her photos.  She is really a natural in front of the camera and was up for anything that might make a great portrait.

I’m very thrilled that I had the opportunity to photograph both her, and her sister, Kenna for their senior portraits.

Victoria : Class of 2011

Last week I spoke at the Arkansas Young Artist Association yearly conference in Little Rock and had an opportunity to show a lot of my work to some extremely talented high school artists from around the state.  It was rather intimidating, due to the amount of skill and talent sitting in the 1000 chairs in front of me.  It seems that a few of my photos must have at least had some type of an impact on at least one student…. Victoria.

Yesterday, Victoria and her crew drove to Mtn. Home from Conway for her senior portraits and personally, I think the results are awesome.  We had a lot of gorgeous, golden, late evening light to work with and tried our best to take advantage of it.

Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Weston : Class of 2011

Yesterday was windy.  Really, horribly windy.  I was thrilled that Weston had short hair… as it would have been very hard photographing otherwise.  This guy pulled up in a bad truck that just made me a bit more than jealous… so I had to put aside my jealousy and get to work.  We only shot a handful of studio poses then headed outside.  He’s got a great smile, but his serious look is amazing.  I love when I get to photograph these really photogenic people.  They make my job easy.
