Brad and Katie got married in Little Rock

Last year I met Katie and Brad on a Saturday morning at the studio to discuss their wedding.  After spending a short amount of time with them, I knew I’d love shooting their wedding.  I was right.   I had such a great time with them and their families.

Brad and Katie were married at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Little Rock, with the reception taking place at the Woman’s City Club in the downtown area.  Both were great locations that made for a beautiful backdrop for their day.

I hope Brad and Katie like the selections I’ve picked for the blog and can’t wait to show them the entire collection.

Jamey and Audra, Horseshoe Bend

I love October weddings. The cool autumn air, the changing colors of the trees and the fall decorations. This October wedding was nothing less than spectacular, taking place on a bluff on Audra’s family’s farm. When I arrived, the sky looked as if the week-long rain might continue, but thankfully it began to clear a bit and we actually got to see a bit of sunlight and patches of blue.

I have so many photos from this wedding that I’d like to post, but I have to keep it to a manageable number. So I finally had to pick some and go with them. Here are a few of my personal favorites from their wedding.

Hope you two had a beautiful honeymoon.

Colin and Jackie in Pella, IA

I finally made it to Iowa and back home…. with a ton of awesome photos.   I met Jackie a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid at a wedding in Illinois and I was thrilled when I got the opportunity to work with her again.  This was my first time to Iowa and could not have asked to visit a cooler town than Pella.  I felt as if I had stepped into a different world, accented by Dutch heritage and an incredible sky.   Normally I show several photos from the reception, and while I have a lot of reception photographs, I chose to showcase some of the photographs from the time I got to spend with just the bride and groom.  It was a treat to be given so much time to create some great photos of just them.

Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day.

Chris and Kimberly

This past Saturday I spent a great afternoon with two wonderful families.  Normally I kind of dread July weddings due to the oppressive heat and humidity, but Kimberly and Chris were blessed with unseasonably mild weather.

They had a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony in the back yard of her parent’s house that really made for a great setting.  It was a day full of friends and family who were genuinely happy for the couple.

One of the neighbors was gracious enough to allow us access to a very scenic view for some photos of just the couple.

Here are a few of my personal favorites from the day.

Ashley & Laura… a Saturday in Tulsa

I’ve been dying to get this wedding up on the blog… and finally it’s here.  Trisha and I had so much fun with the couple and their families.  Once again, we felt as if we left the wedding having gained new friends.

Ashley and Laura seem like they’ve known one another for a lifetime, showing a level of comfort with one another that is so cool to be witness to.  Listening to Laura’s dad speak before dinner, you could tell that Ashley is truly in love… and has a great respect for her.  That’s not the whole story of who they are though… they’re adventerous, fun and full of life.  I kind of want to follow them around for a few years just to document their next adventure.

Thanks so much for letting us be part of your wedding.  Trisha and I both hope you’ll love your photos for the rest of your lives.
