I love this album almost as much as I loved shooting their wedding. Great group. Great planning. Great time. There’s not much more that I can say….. as the album will take you through their day together much better than I could write about it.

Once again Trisha and I felt as if we were at a family reunion of our past clients. On October 27th we spent the day with Lissa and Damon in Fayetteville. We also had the luck to spend the day with two of our past couples, making this another wedding this year that we’ve had three of our couples together at one time. That was pretty cool.
So, we started the day with Lissa and her girls while they got their hair and makeup done. Lissa had an almost scary calmness about her. She was as cool and collected as any bride I’ve seen so far. Damon, well he was a bit nervous in the beginning of the day, but that soon changed and he was back to his normal self.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous afternoon light helping illuminate the sanctuary, and the reception was just as nice. Watching Damon and Lissa mingle with their guests was hilarious. Both of them share an incredible sense of humor and are two of the most welcoming people I’ve ever met.
Here are a few of our quick favorites from their day. I’ll finish up the post with a photo of Erin, Russell, Damon, Lissa, Josh and Karla. I love my clients and appreciate that they gave me the chance to get a few shots of them together.

Ok, earlier this week I posted a few photos of Stephanie’s bridal portraits and a few of Luke and Stephanie from their engagement session. Today, I’ve quickly gone through their gallery and pulled out a few from their wedding day.
We started out coverage at Savanah’s Riverfront Cafe on Friday night to cover the rehearsal dinner and rejoined the group on Saturday afternoon at the First United Methodist Church. Stephanie showed up, like so many brides do, on her cell phone,,, still taking care of all the details of the day. Her attention to those details, (along with having a great florist) really paid off.
Luke’s group of guys were some of the funniest guys I’ve photographed in a while,,, and it was very apparent why this group of guys had stayed friends over the years. I don’t believe there was a single moment of silence among them. Somebody was constantly talking or laughing.
Anyway, Trisha and I had a great time with Luke, Stephanie and their group of friends and family. At the reception we were treated like we’d been long time friends. OH,,,, and Stephanie had apparently put in a LOT of work with her caramel apples that were set out for the guests as they entered the reception area. I have no idea how long she had worked on these things, but the table was amazing. It was covered in tons of these apples, all shining in the spotlight with their individual wrappers and surrounded by pumpkins. The best part of this table, however, was while photographing it, I caught a younger guy grabbing one of them. The look on his face was priceless. He looked as if he’d been caught stealing something. By the way, a big thanks to Joe, the florist for allowing me to bounce my flash off his shirt to get a bit more spread from my flash.

Well, during the past month I’ve gotten a bit slow on my blogging due to moving the studio to a new, larger location. For that reason, today I’m going to be posting both bridals and engagements for Luke and Stephanie. Trisha and I photographed their wedding in Russellville this past weekend and will be blogging that event later on in the week.
The bridal portraits were shot at Mt. Nebo State Park, south of Russellville, AR. Stephanie looked so amazing in her gown and wore me out. This girl participates in endurance races, spending endless hours racing over wooded courses,,, even suffering a snake bite and finishing the race. Needless to say, she’s in a tiny bit better shape than I am. She changed her shoes into some hiking sandals and we took a hike to the bottom of a small water fall for some of the photos we took that day.
And then,,, there is Luke. Luke and I have decided, that due to a shared Cherokee heritage, that he and I have a special bond. He is absolutely hilarious and had Trisha and I laughing the entire time.
Watching the two of them together, one cannot help but smile. They make a beautiful couple and seemingly were meant for one another.

At the end of September I got to spend the weekend (and my birthday) with my family in Oklahoma. My niece, Jamie was getting married and I had the honor of being her photographer for the day. Having literally known Jamie since the day she was born, this was a really special day for me. It was the end of one stage of her life and the beginning of another. Being there to share it with her and Andrew was a great experience.
I hope Andrew and Jamie have a wonderful and long life together.
