Archive for the “wedding favorites” Category

This past Saturday I spent a great afternoon with two wonderful families.  Normally I kind of dread July weddings due to the oppressive heat and humidity, but Kimberly and Chris were blessed with unseasonably mild weather.

They had a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony in the back yard of her parent’s house that really made for a great setting.  It was a day full of friends and family who were genuinely happy for the couple.

One of the neighbors was gracious enough to allow us access to a very scenic view for some photos of just the couple.

Here are a few of my personal favorites from the day.

I know some of you will kill me for this post, but with Trisha and I both shooting for an hour on Friday and twelve hours on Saturday we had A LOT of photos to go through and I couldn’t pick out the normal amount I normally blog, so there’s a couple extras.

Have I ever told any of you that I love my clients?  Well I do.  We have the greatest clients on the planet.  We arrived at the Sheraton to find a beautiful suite and a great welcome gift of snacks and bottled water.  These guys are awesome.  I also had the pleasure of having 4 and 1/2 couples present at this wedding whose weddings we’ve shot in the past.  That was too cool.  Sadly Brian wasn’t able to make it, but Jennifer was there and we had her brother stand in the place where Brian should have been.

There is so much I could say about Whitney and Jon’s wedding, but the truth is I don’t have that much time.  I first met Whitney and Jon at her mother, Judi’s wedding in September of 2004.  From that day I knew I had to shoot their wedding and I was lucky enough to do so.  Since Judi’s wedding we’ve photographed several weddings for the family and hope to be included in future weddings.  We had so much fun with the bridal party and their families that 12 hours passed so quickly.   I hope Whitney and Jon love their photos as much as Trisha and I do.

Thanks for letting us play and I can’t wait to see you again.

We met Regina last May when she was a bridesmaid in Josh and Danyelle’s wedding that we photographed in Russellville.  I’ve been looking forward to Regina’s wedding ever since she called me several months ago.  Regina and all of her “preacher friends” are some of the most genuine and hilarious people that we work with.  (I will be posting a photo from the wedding of our other two couples who were there, Matt.  Last week’s groom gave me grief over my doing this.)  It was great to see Josh & Danyelle and Ryan & Kim at the wedding.

I’ve had  a lot of cool groom’s cakes, but this wedding may have had the funniest one I’ve seen … possibly ever.  Stephen’s sense of humor really made hanging out with him and the guys a lot of fun.

Thanks for letting me document your wedding day and I can’t wait for you to see the entire gallery.

Right in  the middle of recovering from the ice storm that left us without power for 9 days, we packed up and left town to shoot a wedding in Rogers.  It was great to get away from the mess of broken limbs and enjoy a day of celebrating.

Christie and Lance are one of those couples who are just incredibly gorgeous, and even hotter when they’re together.  Combine that with two beautiful personalities and our work was easy.  They gave us a lot of room to roam and freedom to be where we needed to be, which is always appreciated.

This was another instance of getting to see previous clients at the wedding as well.  Blair & Kristin (Blair is Lance’s brother) and Kim & Sam were at the wedding and of course I bothered them for a photo of all six together.

We also had the pleasure of once again working with Rick and Debbie from cineast films.  If you need a video team for your wedding, these two are fantastic and I love working with them.

Thanks for letting us hang out with you for the day.

I’ve been looking at these photos for several days, trying to pick some to blog.  Finally I made the decision to just pick some and go for it.  I laughed so much when I was with these guys and I love the photos so much that I couldn’t pick 20 or so to put up here.  As it turns out,,, I still couldn’t pick 20.  Anyway, I know they deserve to see some of their pictures….. so here we are.

When I started the day out with Sarah at Anue Salon, I sat in the corner, laughing so hard at her, her grandmother, her mother and the amazingly funny hair dresser, Chelsea.  My stomach hurt by the time I left to meet the guys at the church.  I thought I would get a break, but I was wrong.  Jordan and his guys were just as crazy as the women.

I guess I should stop writing and just show the photos.  No matter what I try to write, it leaves me feeling as if I can’t convey how much I enjoyed getting to be part of their wedding.

Jordan and Sarah, I hope you two had a great honeymoon at Flip Flops in Jamaica and thanks for letting me hang out with you guys.
