Blair & Kristin ~ Fayetteville, AR

Ok,, Blair (I love his name) and Kristin are going to have WAY too many photos…. but that’s ok. So, I normally would blog a few at a time,,, but came across one today while doing a lot of other things that grabbed my attention. It’s one of Kristin dancing with one of the little girls at the wedding…. and I love it. They are almost lost in the afternoon light that poured through the window and gave life to their shadows.

Anyway,, hang with me as I promise there will be a lot more to see from their wedding….

I promise.

Jordan… senior session pt. 1

Well the weather was just too cold to do the rest of the shots we wanted to do outside…. but they will be coming soon.

Here’s a few of my favorites,,, and man,,, look at this girl’s eyes. Her eyes are amazing. Some times I spend a lot of time trying to achieve the right look with the subject’s eyes…. but Jordan simply has great eyes. …. and an awesome smile.

Andy & Bri, Eureka Springs, AR

Bri and Andy were two of the coolest people I’ve ever met…… I mean Andy pulled off the white tuxedo jacket with pure style…. and Bri’s smile simply killed me from the minute I first met her in the spa at th Crescent Hotel. Now, while Bri greeted me with this killer smile, Andy showed me a more serious side. He sat in his room, seeming to really take in the importance of what he was about to do. Both meetings were so beautiful in their own way.

I’ve spent just a few minutes today going through their photos and have pulled out eight quick selections.  There are so many of their outdoor ceremony that I love, but I’m only going to show a couple of those in order to pull out some of my other favorites.

Now, with all the weddings I’ve been to as a photographer, I’ve seen a lot of toasts… and this wedding had possibly the best two toasts I’ve witnessed in a long time. Just the pure joy and laughter that accompanied it made it so worth listening to.

Oh,,, and Andy’s mom… she’s a peach. She knew I was going to have a LONG day ahead of me, so shortly after arriving at the hotel, she hooked me up with an awesome lunch,,, and it was much appreciated.

Ty & Cari Ann ~ e-session

These two are hot…. and that’s all I can say. They know how to have fun in front of the camera and they are not afraid of looking silly in order to get the great shots. We got the great shots. Here are just a small sample of what they have to look forward to…. but I’m so pleased…. and cannot wait to shoot their wedding.

Now,,, I will admit that they made fun of me during the shoot. Due to the roar of the water, it was extremely difficult to hear, so I was using a lot of hand motions to attempt some sort of direction….. and they made fun of me. I am sure though, that I looked pretty stupid trying to communicate with my hands. Oh well… it was worth it.

Attack of the Flamingos

We were warned. We didn’t take the warning seriously. We were wrong to not pay attention to the warnings. Sure enough, our home was attacked by pink flamingos. Here’s the proof.

It’s actually a pretty cool thing.  One of the local girls is trying to raise money for a trip to western Europe… and this is at least a pretty cool way to do it.

Now you know. Beware,,, as they may be coming to your yard… (John Carter)

I should have just peed on her leg.

A long,,, long time ago when I was much  younger and MUCH less secure, I gave my girlfriend (at that point we weren’t married)  a present.  A key chain that says, “I “heart” John”.  Well, I should have just walked up, peed on her leg and claimed her as mine…. after all I don’t believe we were yet married when I gave her this “gift” and it was probably more about others knowing she loved some guy named John.

Man,,, I am so glad those days are past.  …. but one of the kids found it a few days ago and it has been floating around the house and today, I thought I should share just where I was at one point.

So,,, for those who didn’t know…. this is the lamest gift one can ever be given…. and the lovely quality with which it was made…. ugh.

Ok,,, now I’m going to go hide.
