b2 portraits updated

We’ve updated our portrait site, b2portraits.com and added 68 new photos to the galleries and home slide show. We’ve also taken a trip back to 1974 with a bit of green.  I’m pretty sure we had kitchen appliances that were this same color.

please stand by

Apparently my hosting service is having a bit of difficulty tonight and as a result, the photos in posts are not showing up.  Viewers may also be unable to view our wedding or portrait sites at this time.  The hosting company is aware of this issue and is working to correct the problem.  Hopefully this problem will be resolved quickly.

Have a great night,

Isabella & Savannah turn 1

Two of my favorite one year olds made another trip to Mtn. Home for another portrait session. I wrote about them when they were here last time, in May of 2007. Isabella & Savannah

This time they were so much fun to photograph. You can see their different personalities coming out and it was a total blast to watch the two of them interact. However, when we attempted to get the girls to dig into a cake, things went down hill a bit. Neither one of them seemed as if they wanted to play and get messy. So, we ended up with some awesome photos of both girls being very unhappy.

Here are a few of my quick favorites from their session.

I know I’ve said this many times before, but it is simply the truth. Sessions like this are proof that I have the greatest career possible. When I first speak to a perspective client who is reserving their wedding date with us, I know that Trisha and I are gaining new friends that we will be involved with for a long time.

Youth Etiquette Society

Saturday night, Trisha and I spent a few hours with 136 students who had taken part in Mtn. Home’s Youth Etiquette Society. We did their formal photographs and then stuck around to let them do something a bit less structured. It was awesome to see their actual personalities come out when they got in front of the camera. If you’re either a participant or the parent of one of the participants, and you did not receive one of the cards that told you where you can find your photos, feel free to give us a call at the studio. 870-425-7671 9 am to 5 pm. The photos will be online beginning Saturday the 16th of February.

I’m putting up a few quick selections from the less structured part of the night…

Trisha and I would like to thank all those who gave their time to all the kids involved in the program. Now, if I can just get Conner to remember what he learned.

Checking in after the storm.

Yesterday, around 5:30 pm a severe thunderstorm spawned a tornado just a few miles from our house, and in the immediate area of some of our seniors from this year. Trisha and I wanted to let all of our clients who live in the Cotter, Gassville and Flippin areas know that we’re here if you need anything. With all the damage that was sustained, getting in touch by phone is nearly impossible in some cases, so we’re putting it here.

I’ve spoken to the grandmother of one of the students this morning, so I know he’s apparently fine, but we’ve not heard anything in regards to the others.

I spent several years working as a paramedic. I thought when I left that job I’d leave behind the emotional connection to my job, but I was wrong. Hearing, and seeing first hand, what has happened to the area where these students live really has hit me. I guess that’s ok.

Anyway, we’re hoping all of you guys are ok. Please let us know if there’s something we can do for you.

Here are some of our seniors who were possibly impacted by the tornado.

Chelsea and Tony from Gassville/Cotter,

Kyle and Kristin from Flippin,

There was another storm track that went south and east of our area and possibly hit the area that Chelsy, another of our seniors, lives.  We’ve not received much information about the area of Ash Flat and Hardy, but we’re hoping for the best for her as well.

Chelsy from Hardy (Highland High School)
