UPDATE
February 03, 2009
We wanted to thank all the friends and clients who have emailed and called to check on us. Currently, as of Tuesday, 02-03-09, we have electricity at the office, but not at the house. A large portion of our area is still without electricity and in some instances, access is limited due to fallen debris. Trisha and I will be in and out of the office a lot for the next week or so due to being out to help clear yards of broken limbs. We hope our clients will understand and bare with us while we help our community.
We will be contacting portrait clients who are needing to schedule an ordering session in order to get your photos to you as soon as possible.
Thanks,
jb

We’ll be back open as soon as possible, but for now we are closed due to the ice storm that has hit our area. Electricity, internet and phone service are intermittent so we’ll be open as soon as possible. Emails will be answered when we return.
(Christie, we WILL be there this weekend for the wedding)
For my neighbors, stay safe and keep warm.

Haley walked into the studio Saturday afternoon, seeming a little nervous, but by the time we finished the nerves had disappeared. She did a fantastic job playing along and having fun with the shoot, although she was probably blind when we were done due to the light reflector Trisha was using.
Here are a few of my faves.

I love one year olds. They are just so much fun to photograph… even if they are a bit energetic. Sometimes you hust ahve to take a break and let them play… and sometimes you just photograph them while they play.
This little guy had such an infectious smile… so here he is.

I’ve been looking at these photos for several days, trying to pick some to blog. Finally I made the decision to just pick some and go for it. I laughed so much when I was with these guys and I love the photos so much that I couldn’t pick 20 or so to put up here. As it turns out,,, I still couldn’t pick 20. Anyway, I know they deserve to see some of their pictures….. so here we are.
When I started the day out with Sarah at Anue Salon, I sat in the corner, laughing so hard at her, her grandmother, her mother and the amazingly funny hair dresser, Chelsea. My stomach hurt by the time I left to meet the guys at the church. I thought I would get a break, but I was wrong. Jordan and his guys were just as crazy as the women.
I guess I should stop writing and just show the photos. No matter what I try to write, it leaves me feeling as if I can’t convey how much I enjoyed getting to be part of their wedding.
Jordan and Sarah, I hope you two had a great honeymoon at Flip Flops in Jamaica and thanks for letting me hang out with you guys.

A few days back I had one of those days that reminded me how lucky I am. I spent the day with my daughter, Erin, driving to Hendrix College in Conway, AR to shoot an engagement session for John and Ashley. On the way down we saw a bobcat, many red tailed hawks and a bald eagle…. but most importantly I got to spend quite a bit of time with Erin, talking about everything and about nothing. It was great.
When we arrived at Hendrix we met up with John and Ashley and shot their engagement photos. I can’t wait until March when I get to shoot their wedding. We had a great time strolling around an empty campus where we could pretty much have our pick of locations. Here are a few of my favorite shots.
